1. Installation Guide

To install PixieHog, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Shopify App Store: Search for PixieHog in the Shopify App Store, or you can visit the app directly at PixieHog.
2. Click Install: Click the “Install” button and follow the prompts to add PixieHog to your Shopify store.
3. Authorize Permissions: Accept the permissions needed for PixieHog to connect with Shopify and PostHog.

Once installed, you will find PixieHog in your Shopify Admin under the “Apps” section.

2. Account Setup

To start using PixieHog, you’ll need a PostHog account.

1. Visit PostHog: Go to PostHog’s website and create an account if you haven’t already.
2. Create a New Project: Inside PostHog, create a project for your Shopify store. This project will act as the workspace for all your Shopify tracking data.

3. Project API key Setup

PixieHog needs your PostHog Project API key to start tracking events. Here’s how to find it and set it up in PixieHog:

1. Retrieve the Project API Key from PostHog:

   • Go to your PostHog dashboard.
   • Navigate to Settings > Projects > General then scroll to Project ID Section and copy your Project API key.

2. Enter the Project API key in PixieHog:

   • Open the PixieHog app in Shopify.
   • Go to the Overview tab and paste your PostHog Project API key in the provided field.
   • Save your changes to complete the setup.

With PixieHog installed and your Project API key configured, you’re ready to start tracking user interactions on your Shopify store!
