By using the PixieHog application (the “Service”), provided by PixieHog (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. These terms govern your access to and use of the Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

PixieHog is a Shopify app that integrates your Shopify store with PostHog analytics. The app allows you to configure PostHog tracking by entering a PostHog API key and enabling event tracking for your store, directly using PostHog’s services.

3. API Key Setup

To use the Service, you will need to provide a valid PostHog API Key. You are responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of your API key. Any unauthorized access or use of your API key must be reported to PostHog and PixieHog immediately.

4. User Obligations

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when configuring the app.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your PostHog API key.
  • Not engage in any activity that could harm, disrupt, or interfere with the Service.
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.

5. Privacy and Data Usage

PixieHog does not collect any personal or store data. All data generated by PostHog integrations and event tracking are managed and stored directly by PostHog. We recommend reviewing PostHog’s privacy policy to understand how they handle and process data.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable and uninterrupted Service. However, PixieHog does not guarantee that the Service will always be available or error-free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PixieHog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PixieHog and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any intellectual property rights.

PixieHog reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for any updates.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which PixieHog is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
